Hyderabad: A Disproportionate Assets Income case was registered against M Venkata Bhoopal Reddy, Addl Collector, (Land Revenue), Ranga Reddy District. ACB officials searched four places apart from his main house and his close relatives houses and found movable and immovable properties worth about Rs 5,05,71,676 and disproportionate assets worth Rs 4,19,40,158.
The value of the properties mentioned is as per documentation value and the actual value is far higher in the open market, said Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, TG, Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday afternoon, Kandikatla Adisheshu, Municipal Commissioner, Pebbair Municipality, Wanaparthy District, was caught redhanded when he demanded and accepted bribe of Rs 20,000 in his office from the complainant for doing an official favour i.e. to sanction the amount for contract work of painting and laying CC Roads done by the complainant in 2023. The ACB officials conducted chemical test and recovered tainted bribe amount from his office table. The accused officer performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage, ACB officials said. Therefore, the accused Kandikatla Adisheshu was arrested and produced before the First Addl. Spl. Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Nampally, Hyderabad.
The ACB Director said in case of demand of bribe by any public servant, the public may contact them on Toll Free phone number 1064 for taking action as per Law. The name and details of the complainant/victim will be kept secret, he added.
